David Lynn was appointed Architect of the Capitol on August 22, 1923. Some significant achievements during Lynn's tenure include the construction of the Longworth House Office Building, the U.S. Supreme Court building, the Library of Congress' Thomas Jefferson Building and the Botanic Garden's Conservatory.
